“These pictures were taken from the Independence Day Parade in New York City last June 5, 2005. The Independence Day Parade in NYC, sponsored by the Philippine Independence Day Council (PIDC), is the biggest celebration in the world outside of the Philippines. The FECGPI and the Philippine Folk Arts Society, Inc (PFASI) represented the Greater Philadelphia in the parade. PFASI won the Most Colorful and Most Authentic contingency amongst 117 parade group participants.” - Dr Rommel Rivera
